일반적으로 베인 펌프는 내부 챔버에 이중 아크 곡선이 있는 펌프 본체, 슬롯 로터, 베인 및 기타 부품으로 구성됩니다. 일부는 엔진 후단의 플라이휠 하우징에 설치되며 타이밍 기어로 구동되기도 합니다. 엔진이 작동하면 부스터 펌프 로터가 회전하고 원심력의 작용으로 베인이 블레이드 홈을 따라 바깥쪽으로 이동하여 펌프 본체의 내벽에 가까워집니다. 로터가 회전하는 동안 베인 사이의 밀폐된 부피가 지속적으로 증가하고 감소함에 따라 오일 흡입 및 오일 압력 공정이 실현됩니다. 로터가 한 번 회전할 때마다 오일 흡입과 오일 압력이 두 번 완료됩니다. 펌프 본체에는 최대 압력을 제한하는 안전 밸브도 있습니다. 조향 시스템의 외부 부하가 증가하여 오일 압력이 특정 값에 도달하면 안전 밸브가 열려 부하를 해제합니다. 부스터 펌프의 배출량이 기본적으로 안정적이도록 펌프 본체에는 스로틀 밸브와 유량 제어 밸브도 설치되어 있습니다.

    How does a Power Steering Pump work?
    Generally, vane pump is composed of a pump body with double arc curves in the inner chamber, a slotted rotor, vanes and other parts. Some are installed on the flywheel housing at the rear end of the engine, and are also driven by timing gears. When the engine is running, the booster pump rotor is driven to rotate, and the vanes move outward along the blade grooves under the action of centrifugal force, and are close to the inner wall of the pump body. During the rotation of the rotor, due to the continuous increase and decrease of the closed volume between the vanes , to realize the process of oil absorption and oil pressure. Every time the rotor rotates once, it completes oil absorption and oil pressure twice. There is also a safety valve in the pump body to limit the maximum pressure. When the external load of the Steering System increases, causing the oil pressure to rise to a certain value, the safety valve opens to unload the load. A throttle valve and a flow control valve are also installed in the pump body to ensure that the displacement of the booster pump is basically stable.

    Constant flow hydraulic power steering system
    (1) Structure
    ·Mainly composed of steering oil tank, steering oil pump, safety valve, flow control valve, one-way valve, steering control valve, mechanical steering gear, and steering pressure cylinder
    1) Steering control valve: there are two types: slide valve type and rotary valve type
    ·Spool valve type: Steering control valve whose valve body moves axially to control oil flow
    ·Rotary valve type: The valve body rotates around its center to control the oil flow steering control valve
    2) The safety valve limits the maximum pressure output from the oil pump
    3) Flow control valve: used to limit the maximum flow of the steering oil pump. The flow control valve and safety valve are generally made inside the oil pump
    4) One-way valve: closed when the booster device is normal. When the booster device fails, it opens to allow the oil in the oil tank to flow into the oil suction side of the power chamber, also known as a short circuit valve
    (2) Working process
    ·Steering control valve is often in the open position
    ·The working chambers at both ends of the piston of the steering power cylinder are connected to the low-pressure oil return pipe and do not work. The oil output from the Steering Pump flows into the steering control valve and then flows back to the steering oil tank. The return resistance is very small, so the output pressure of the oil pump is very low and it is in an idle state
    ·When the driver rotates the steering wheel, the mechanical steering gear places the steering control valve in the working position. The corresponding working chamber of the steering power cylinder is isolated from the oil return circuit, and is then connected to the oil pump output pipeline. The other side of the power chamber is still connected to the oil return pipeline
    ·The steering resistance is greater than the oil pipe pressure, and the oil pressure output by the oil pump rapidly increases until the steering power cylinder piston is pushed
    ·The steering wheel stops rotating and the steering control valve immediately returns to the neutral position
